Life Legacy
Merle O. Galbreath, age 81, of 1345 Michigan Ave SW, Huron, died Wednesday, February 8, 2006 at the Huron Nursing Home.
His funeral service will be at 10:00 AM Saturday, February 11th at the Huron Christian Church with Pastor Alan Wager officiating. Burial will be at Riverside Cemetery. Friends may call Saturday morning prior to the service at the church.
Merle Oliver Galbreath was born on August 21, 1924, to Orie and Leona (Labrie) Galbreath in Doland, SD.
He was became a resident at the Redfield State Hospital on November 7, 1941 and the Huron Center for Independence on December 4, 1985. On September 9, 2004, Merle became a resident at the Huron Nursing Home.
He is survived by two brothers, Cecil Galbreath and Gaylen Galbreath both of Huron, a sister-in-law, Coletta Galbreath of Redfield; and 2 brothers-in-law, Tom Lachance of Rowland Heights, CA, and Jerry Steadman of Summit, SD.
He was preceded in death by his brother Leland and sisters Marguerite Rozich, Leila Stedman and Cleo Lachance.
